WADENHOE ON THE HILL

The church atop its hill has a commanding view across the Nene Valley and surrounding countryside and, like Somerset's Isle of Avalon, often stands above the low-lying mist of its surrounds. In this spring photo it is, as ever, shrouded in mist, while the meadow in the foreground is bathed in sunshine.
